The Friends of Berrylands Nature Reserve are supporting a new community orchard being started in Green Lane Recreation Ground financed and supported by The Orchard Project.
We are very keen to improve other green spaces in the local area, and Green Lane Recreation Ground is situated only aproximately a 2 min walk from the Elmbridge Avenue entrance to the Berrylands Nature Reserve, so you couldn’t get much closer.
Please join us for planting day from 10am.
We have shared a couple of updates on the progress of this project before, and this will be the day that the real action begins, and we quite literally break ground.

In addition to planting the new fruit trees selected by the local community, we will also be installing the guards to prevent any accidental or deliberate damage to the trees before they have time to establish themselves.
It may be cold and/or wet so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
Tools and light refreshments will be provided, but if you want anything more substantial to keep you going you might want to bring a packed lunch.
We hope you can join us!
