The Surbiton & District Bird Watching Society have organised a walk & talk around Berrylands Nature Reserve, focusing on the local bird population, and have graciously invited any interested members of the local communtiy to join them.
The walk will led by our friendly neighbourhood Elliot Newton in his role with Citizen Zoo.
According the Surbiton & District Bird Watching Society website (http://surbitonbirds.org/) they are hoping that the bird sightings might include Great Spotted Woodpecker, Little Egret, a range of Tit species and possibly even a Kingfisher, but no promises.
The walk will begin at 9:30, meeting outside of Berrylands Scout Hut, on Sterling Walk.
Sturdy footwear, or possibly even wellies would probably be advisable given that some areas of the nature reserve are quite muddy at this time of year.
