Join the Friends of Berrylands Nature Reserve for the first of what we are hoping to be more frequent weekend conservation volunteer session.
We fully understand that our weekday sessions haven’t been particularly accesible for families, or those who work during the week, but who would still like to be able to get their hands dirty helping in the nature reserve.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome, and encouraged, but we do ask that anyone under 14 is accompanied by a parent or guardian, and we also need to make sure we have the consent of a parent or guardian for anyone else under 18 to attend unaccompanied.
If you have any questions please do drop us an email: berrylandsnr@gmail.com
As always, we will provide hot drinks and biscuits to keep you going.
If you have your own gardening or work gloves then it might be useful to bring those along too.
Given the time of year it may well be cold and/or wet so please wear appropriate clothing. A number of the paths around the site are also quite muddy at the moment so sturdy footwear is a must, and wellies would probably be advisable.
This will be a slightly shorter session than usual, to make it a bit more friendly for families, but also to give everyone planning to come along to our very first AGM in the afternoon, time to go home inbetween to take a shower, and have something to eat, and for us to set-up for the meeting too.
We really hope as many of you as possible will join us for both!

The session will run from 10am to 12pm (noon), meeting outside of Berrylands Scout Hut on Sterling Walk.
We will have a tasks suitable for all.
Hope to see you there!
