Friends of Berrylands Nature Reserve will be running another of our weekend community conservation volunteer days on Saturday 17th of August from 10am – 2pm.
This weekend we will be joined by the Environment Trust and their team of enthusiastic Duke of Edinburgh Award volunteers, so we should have lots of hands to make a real impact on improving the site for the local community, and it’s wildlife.
We will be meeting outside Berrylands Scouts Hut on Stirling Walk for an intro briefing, before heading into the nature reserve.
Don’t worry if you can’t join us for the whole session, even an hour or two would be very gratefully appreciated.
There will be activities suitable for all ages, abilities and levels of experience.
As usual biscuits and warm drinks will be provided, but please make sure to wear weather appropriate clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty, and some sturdy footwear.
Also if you have your own gardening gloves feel free to bring those along too.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome, but we do ask that those under 14 are accompanied by an adult. Those aged 14-18 may volunteer alone, with parental consent forms to be completed on the day.
If you have any question about the session, or volunteering with the friends group in general then please drop us an email to: berrylandsnr@gmail.com
Hope you can join us.
