As a special event on Saturday 29th of February we will be opening up one of Berrylands hidden nature reserve which is not usually open for public access in order to give it a bit of a spring clean, as a lot of litter has accumulated over the years.
Hogsmill Wood Nature Reserve is a small wooded area located between the Hogsmill River, the footpath through from Elmbridge Meadows to Woodies Lane, and accesed from the A3 slip road (Malden Way).
Council green space contractors idVerde are going to bring along a trailer for us to load up, and we will be there from 10am until 1pm.
Do stop by for a unique chance to explore the space and lend us a hand with cleaning it up.
We will keep you supplied with warm drinks and biscuits as a bribe, and to say thanks for coming along, and provide gloves and bin bags to gather everything up!
Volunteers of all ages are welcome, but one thing that we do ask that those under 14 are accompanied by an adult. Those aged 14-18 may volunteer alone, but with parental consent forms to be completed in advance.
