Friends of Berrylands Nature Reserve will be running another of our regular monthly weekend community conservation volunteer days on Saturday 14th of March from 10am – 2pm, where we be doing all sorts of tasks to help maintain and improve our local community nature reserve.
We will have a variety of different conservation tasks on the day, so there should be something to suit everyone, regardless of age, ability or experience.
We will be meeting outside Berrylands Scouts Hut on Stirling Walk, as usual, for an intro briefing, before heading into the nature reserve.
Don’t worry if you can’t join us for the whole session, even an hour or two would be very gratefully appreciated.
We will provide all the tools, so all you need is weather appropriate clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty, and some sturdy footwear.
Also if you have your own gardening gloves feel free to bring those along too.
We will have a supply of biscuits and warm drinks to keep people going, buy feel free to bring you own lunch or a snack as well if you want to.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome, but we do ask that those under 14 are accompanied by an adult. Those aged 14-18 may volunteer alone, with parental consent forms to be completed on the day.
If you have any questions about the session, or volunteering with the friends group in general then please drop us an email to: berrylandsnr@gmail.com
